Lakers Double Up Tabor 10-5

The Yankton Lakers jumped out to a 7-0 lead and held on for a 10-5 victory over Tabor in VFW Teener baseball action Wednesday at Riverside Field.
Sam Wendte had a double, two singles and a run scored to lead Yankton. Andrew Hummel had a triple and a single, scoring a run. Dustin Hopper and Tyler Johnson each had two hits. Garrison Brockberg and Gunnar Lafrentz each had a hit and two runs scored. Zach Benjamin and Kale Bromley each had a hit and a run scored in the win.
Wendte picked up the win, allowing three runs over four innings. Zach Waiter pitched the final three innings.
The Lakers, 14-17, host Brookings Wednesday. Start time for the twinbill is noon.
