Sioux Falls Police Nab Purse Snatchers

Published: Friday, July 3, 2009 1:20 AM CDT
SIOUX FALLS (AP) — Sioux Falls police say two people took a woman’s purse as she stood outside a laundromat and then tried to use the victim’s credit card at a gas station.

The victim and a gas station employee provided a description and license plate of the vehicle involved Thursday and police said they stopped it a short time later.

Charged with robbery were 19-year-old Courtney Deshaun Young of Sioux Falls and a 17-year-old male.

Police said another occupant of the vehicle, 21-year-old Lindsey Janee Louison, of LeMars, Iowa, was charged with possession of stolen property.
