Stewart PTA Reflections Program Announced
The Stewart School PTA has officially announced the kick-off to the 2008-09 National PTA Reflections Program at the Stewart Elementary School. The theme for this year’s program is “WOW!”
Parents are encouraged to assist their children by talking to them about the theme and their areas of interest for the program. The deadline for all art entries is Friday, Oct. 17.
The PTA Reflections Program is a national arts recognition and achievement program open to students in preschool through grade 12 in the areas of literature, musical composition, photography, visual arts, dance choreography and film/video production. The works of art will be judged by professionals in the respective art areas. Selected works will advance to the state or national levels for judging.
Stewart School has had works advanced to both the state and national levels in the past years. The National PTA Reflection Program has a strong history of more than 30 years. More than 10 million students have participated in the program since it was created.
At Stewart School, all entries will receive awards or consolation prizes. The class with the most participation will be treated to a special party. In Reflections, everyone is a winner!
Serving on the local committee at Stewart School are Chasity Feser-Chairperson, Beth Pietila, Edwena Turner, Marcia Withrow, Kari Rumsey, Patsy James and Joleen Woods.
