Graham Named VP Of Medical Affairs
Barry Graham, MD, has joined the Avera Sacred Heart Hospital administrative team as Vice President of Medical Affairs.
Dr. Graham will act as a liaison between administration and physicians, as well as playing an integral role in clinical quality and collaborative projects.
“It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve the Yankton community and the Avera Sacred Heart Hospital as the Vice President of Medical Affairs,” said Dr. Graham. “I come to Yankton knowing that this small city is blessed with a high quality medical community that can boast a wide range of available specialties and services. It is my hope to contribute to the quality and availability of health care services in Yankton. This is a time of great change in health care and I am excited to participate in the growth and development of the Yankton medical community.”
Dr. Graham was most recently the Chief Medical Officer of the VA Midwest Health Care Network in Minneapolis. In this position, he was advisor to the network director on clinical issues at the eight major medical centers of the network and also provided direction and oversight of quality management and patient safety.
He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of North Dakota Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Graham is board certified in Internal Medicine.
