Tennis: Gazelles Take Two At Mitchell
MITCHELL — The Yankton Gazelles girls’ tennis team swept a pair of Eastern South Dakota Conference foes, beating Pierre 8-1 and Mitchell 9-0 Friday in Mitchell.
The Gazelles, now 8-2 on the season, travel to Madison today (Saturday) for a triangular against Watertown and Madison.
Roosevelt 9, Vermillion 0
SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Roosevelt swept Vermillion 9-0 in girls’ tennis action Friday.
Kayla Munger had the best showing for Vermillion, forcing a first set tiebreaker before dropping a 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 decision at flight four singles.
Vermillion hosts Madison Tuesday.
